Why I want to be a 2019 Travel Weekly Cover Star
The Cover Stars competition particularly caught my eye as it is a trip to the Bahamas with Norwegian Cruise Line. The Bahamas has been one of my dream destinations to visit, and to do it in style travelling with British Airways to Miami & sailing on the Norwegian Sky would be a trip to remember. I have been able to travel on other cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean for my own personal holiday, MSC & Silversea educational ship visits but I have never had the opportunity to go onboard one of the Norwegian Cruise Line ships. NCL is definitely one of my biggest sellers especially with their new all inclusive board basis and it appeals to a wide variety of people, it would be great to see the facilities they have to offer and taste the amazing food onboard. Being so passionate about cruises & selling them to my clients, I feel that being able to experience the life on board first hand really helps to sell it to the public. I have now been in the travel industry for just over 2 years, Travel Weekly has played a massive part of me keeping up to date with the travel world and I have discovered us as travel agents get completely spoiled by our suppliers. I have always been one to work hard towards a goal or take part in competitions to be able to experience new destinations & meet new people. Earlier this year I made a recreation of the song 'Under the Sea' to try and get onboard the new Symphony of the Seas. Amazingly, I managed to win the whole competition, and the video was shown at the Globe Awards, which I also got to attend. I have never been to an awards evening of any kind, but the Globes completely exceeded my expectations, and it was so rewarding (if not slightly embarrassing!) to see my video up on the big screen. To win a place as a Travel Weekly Cover Stars 2019 would be another accomplishment that I have worked towards & would be the cherry on top of the cake.
